John Minter
Managing Director
John manages the investment funds for BBI and is responsible for structuring and managing the funds and projects in which BBI invests. He is also founder and managing director of Austin Growth Capital LLC, an investment bank that provides M&A and consulting services. John has 33 years of experience in corporate finance, corporate banking, investments, and M&A including 17 years of executive leadership. Transaction experience includes investments, acquisitions, divestitures, interest rate derivatives, and financing for a variety of real estate and CapEx projects. Financing experience includes structuring, closing, and servicing construction, portfolio, and securitized real estate credit facilities. Prior roles include managing director at JPMorgan, national director for the Merrill Lynch Global Bank Group, and vice president in First Interstate Bank’s Corporate Bank. John has the Series 7, 79, 63, 66, 9, 10, and 24 securities licenses (inactive). He is a trustee for the Seton Fund (Dell Seton Medical Center) and founding chairman of The Fifty (Seton affiliate). He was vice chairman of the board of Regents School of Austin, chairman of Legacy of Giving (an educational nonprofit), and member of the Capital Committee for the Austin Chamber of Commerce. John earned a degree in Finance from Texas Tech University.
