Hunter Powell

Hunter is managing director of BBI and managing director for Bitterblue, Inc. where he is responsible for sourcing and negotiating real estate development opportunities. Hunter continues his family’s commitment to excellence in real estate development projects in Central Texas through Bitterblue. His responsibilities include identifying new projects, strategy, and investor relations. Prior to Bitterblue, Hunter was CEO of Splice, an award-winning photo and video editing software program which was acquired by a billion-dollar international technology firm. He has extensive experience in strategic planning, leadership, relationship management, and project development. Prior roles include Associate Director at CEB (now Gartner which is an advisory and leadership firm that provides advice to C-suite executives), Assistant Vice President at Morgan Stanley, and Pastor at Sterling Park Church. Hunter is an author and professor at the University of Texas in Austin. He earned a BA in Political Science, History, and English from The University of Pennsylvania where he competed on the swim team, and both a Masters and PhD from The University of Cambridge in England.
